Life is very difficult for lower class people as they have to struggle for their daily needs and dreams as they have got limited knowledge in their life about their rights and responsibilities. They do not have enough awareness about their life. 30-06-2024 Today is my trial attempt to understand their level of understanding about their life so that I can learn and change their life along with them. I was surprised at the end of the session that the students who were studying in 10th grade was not knowing the monthly income of the family and commitments that the parents go through. No surprise, here the parents them self does not get time to look after their kids to as they both have to run for their daily bread and butter. But they are dreaming at homing thinking that the kids will study well and improve their future once they come out of the school/ college. But the fact is that the kids are self motivated and distracted. highly challenging area is making them to understand that how they are getting distracted and bringing them to the reality to make them understand the dream of their parents and the responsibility of the kids.
First attempt to make them realize was pretty good that at least I could make them to sit in a class and listen to me during the session which was very challenging when I started it., slowly after 10-15 min of the session they started interacting with me about the session and we started discussing about their self grooming as part of our session. In this session we have discussed about the dress code and personal care of the individual and listed out the Do's and Dont's.
That one motivation what I have got from the students is that they promised me about changing their dressing style and hair cuts when I visit for the next session....
